Lot #1224 - In approximately 1881, prior to the inauguration of Yellowstone Park, this carriage was one of a group of 15 ordered from Abbott-Downing Co. Concord, NH. The chassis and leather "thorough brace" support system are ver similar to the historically renowned Concord stage coach. The 3 seats are covered with a sunroof and at one time was equipped with side curtains. The brakes are hand or foot activated. Leather covered rear boot for storage.
