Description
Lot #1536.2 - This award winning custom-restored 1956 Dodge Sierra station wagon is a combination of the best from Dodge over four decades starting from the 1950's. Eric Robles, known for show winning paint and body work, painted it in yellow and pearl white mixed by custom paint legend Stanley Betz, it was intended to emphasize the chrome and stainless trim. All '70 exterior trim parts are either show chromed or polished stainless. The 440cid engine comes from Mopar's 1970's muscle cars and was bored 0.030 over and machined to ? or less than the factory tolerances and blueprinted to confirm. KB pistons with 9.7:1 compression provides an improved fuel burn. An Edelbrock 1405 carburetor mounted on a Dodge CH4B Edelbrock aluminum manifold makes great low end torque. The carburetor is topped off with a polished velocity stack and chromed air cleaner. The '68 A727 automatic transmission comes upgraded with stronger gears, including a Transgo shift kit. The front suspension is from an '89 Dodge Dakota providing power rack and pinion steering, disc brakes and was fitted with 2" drop spindles and airbag suspension. The rear axle is a Ford an 8.8" differential, disc brakes and air shocks plus a Watts link installed to improve control of side-to-side stability. A custom suspension controller allows either automatic pressure control or individual control of each corner. A pressure gauge monitors the pressure of the airbags. Ernie Yanez of Quality Upholstery created an interior that balances the historic highlights with modern comfort and convenience. He fit 3-point seat belts and Honda Prelude headrests on the front and back seats. A GPS with mp3, Bluetooth, 800-watt amplifiers, 12" subwoofers and 6.5" component speakers in each door. The gauges are all Autometer movements painted and letter using the original fonts. LED's are used for interior and exterior signal indicators and interior lighting. Wiring diagrams showing most functions, locations and wire colors.
