Lot #1288 - The quest to build Goldberg's Dart began in 2006. The rust-free western Dart was located through Mopar Collectors Guide and the project began. Florida's Time Machines handled the body work and custom fabrication. The original Dart was modified to match a Hurst HEMI Dart, quarter panel, wheel openings, etc. Vintage super stock guru Gary Ball was contracted to achieve the correct super stock cockpit. Glass Tech provided the fiberglass front cap which is identical to the originals. The heart of this beast, handled by the legendary HEMI builder/racer Ray Barton, is a 472/713hp HEMI packing 700lb/ft of torque. Backing up the HEMI is a Passon overdrive 833 HEMI 4-speed mated to a 3.73 geared Strange S-60 rear axle allowing this beast to cruise at 80mph turning 2,500rpm. Mopar Performance Super Stock leaf springs, Baer disc brakes, Halibrand and Stockton wheels, Alterkation tubular K-member, rack and pinion steering system, coated Hooker headers, 3" exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers.
