Description
Lot #1260.3 - Project "Thunderbolt". This car underwent an extensive rotisserie nut and bolt restoration. The painted and powdercoated undercarriage is as clean as the top. Not only is this car beautiful with its original sheet metal and custom blend of House of Kolors paint but it's been inspired by the famous "Thunderbolt". The custom retina-searing red leather interior follows the original 57 Fairlane theme, but incorporates embossed Thunderbolt and 427 graphics throughout. It packs a Genesis 427 side oiler with Roush internal parts that produces 657hp. The engine alone was $27,000. It is equipped with a top loader 4-speed with Hurst shifter, Ford 9" rear end and custom side exhaust. The suspension consists of Ride Tech air springs with tubular arms in the front and a triangulated four-link in the rear. 4-wheel disc brakes with red calipers are at all four corners. Other features include an IDIDIT column, Classic Instrument gauges, Vintage Air, Alpine CD/DVD player, carpeted trunk, aluminum radiator and Boze wheels. This is a new twist on an old classic.
