Description
Lot #1253 - This is a completely custom built 1940 Ford pickup from the ground-up. The cab was stretched 32" to convert it to a crew cab with suicide rear doors. The handles were shaved and the bed was shortened 10" to give it a clean, sportier look. It has a custom engineered Art Morrison chassis and the body is entirely steel except for the fiberglass fenders. The engine is a built 5.7L LS1 with ported and polished heads, a Fast intake, performance headers, custom jet coated and chrome exhaust, 96mm throttle body, Carbon Fiber engine cover and a custom computer system making 500hp. It has an automatic 4L60E transmission, posi-traction rear end and 3.73 gears. The suspension includes chrome control arms, and front and rear coilovers. To stop this beast, Wilwood large cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes were installed on all four corners. 20" Billet Specialty Rail wheels and Nitto tires combine in a classic and modern look to set off this custom pickup. The interior is a custom designed silver and dark grey Garrett leather. It has power windows, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and tilt steering wheel. The sound system is just as impressive with Focal highs, mids and subs being pushed by Rockford Fosgate amplifiers and finished off with an in-dash CD/DVD with a bluetooth-ready head unit. Finally, it has a custom PPG Hot Rod Red paint job with flames that make jaws drop.
