Description
Lot #652 - Absolutely stunning HEMI 'Cuda Resto-mod which started life as a 1970 Barracuda. With only the rust-free body being used, it was then modified into one of the most awesome examples of what modern technologies and brute power can achieve in harmony. Rotisserie restored without regard for expense, it is completely finished to the highest show standards from its mirror-like Perfect Purple PPG paint to the custom leather interior and its RMS full chassis detailed undercarriage. The goal was to create the 'Cuda of today, if Plymouth was still around. The look combines vintage 'Cuda with today's technology. We took a 5.7L Chrysler HEMI and Supercharged it, put in a Flaming River tilt column, a billet steering wheel, 4 bucket seats and 5 full while leather hides were used in the interior. Made a custom dash, a custom console and added an all Autometer full gauge set. Boyd Coddington's Smoothies were selected, as well as color blended HEMI billboards, Shaker Hood, color coded custom bumpers, custom front end and grille. Over 250 hours to create the all-metal 1971 'Cuda custom grille. Custom rear end of the car, custom body with drip rails removed and much more. All 4 slotted, drilled and polished disc brakes. Heavy duty calipers, 4 electric windows, integrated Pioneer GPS AM/FM/CD/satellite stereo. Additional features include Richmond rear end, RMS full suspension system and front end, remote trunk release, Classic auto air conditioning system, custom full wire loom, high volume electric fuel pump, dyno-tested and special program written for the car, Stay Cool radiator, LED lights used throughout and most all metal work is custom with over 2,700 hours into the build. Included is a three ring binder with many receipts, instruction books and owner's manuals. This is a one-of-a-kind special built car that can be shown, driven or raced.
