Lot #26.1 - This vehicle is a nicely restored example of the last production year for the CJ5 before being bought out by AMC. This particular Jeep was ordered with the optional Buick-sourced 225cid Dauntless V6. It also has 4-wheel drive with Warn locking front hubs. This engine produced 155hp which really made the little CJ5 scoot. This Jeep was ordered new in California and was brought to AZ early in life and has remained there since. The odometer shows just over 64,000 original miles. The Jeep has undergone a frame-on restoration including a gorgeous repaint in Fire Engine Red. The vehicle was totally rust-free and the all-steel tub needed no patch panels or metal repair of any kind. A fresh rebuild of the 225cid V6, a reseal and refresh of the manual transmission and a full detail in the engine compartment using all correct decals and paint colors. The interior was fully coated with gray Rhino liner and the seats were redone to match.
