Lot #20.1 - This is a stunningly restored 1956 Mercury Monterey Phaeton. One of 23,493 produced. The powerful 312cid 8 cylinder engine generates 210hp and is mounted to a Merc-o-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine has been fitted with 3 progressive 2-barrel carburetors. All the chrome has been redone, new rubbers and the interior is brand new. The car has less than 46,500 actual miles since new, is always garaged and has only about 200 miles since rebuild. It runs well and handles great. The exterior has been restored to its original beautiful color of charcoal and persimmon, with original design interior fabric in white and grey. This is a treasure and must be seen to be appreciated.
