Lot #624.1 - 1969 Mercury XR7 updated with Eliminator package. The car was delivered new in Southern California with the following options, XR7 package, 351W, high back bucket seats, console, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, tinted glass, FMX automatic transmission and 9" rear end. The car has just undergone an extensive 2 restoration. The car retains all of its original sheet metal and has been refinished with a base coat clear coat Ford black with custom red Eliminator stripes. To complete the cosmetic Eliminator look, the car has front and rear spoilers, blacked out front and rear grill, an original Eliminator hood scoop and correct style hood pins. All chrome, trim and weatherstripping redone. The entire original drivetrain was pulled during the exterior restoration. The 351W now sports some mild modifications, the FMX has a shift kit and the 9" differential is now a 3.50 trac lok. Fully detailed engine bay. The following were all removed for complete rebuild, refurbishment or replacement. Complete air conditioning, heat, cooling, braking system, electrical and vacuum system, gas tank, all soft and hard lines. All chrome and moldings, front windshield were all redone. Interior removed during paint, new headliner, carpet and seat covers. All parts repainted or re-dyed or replaced as needed. Full Alpine sound system installed to look as factory as possible. The suspension was completely rebuilt. The car sits in a lowered stance that makes the car handle and ride very well. Custom fitted Raceline 17" wheels. To retain a factory style look, the center caps were custom machined to fit magnum 500 Cougar center caps in red to match the red Eliminator stripes.
