Lot #663.1 - After four years, the Falcon received a major facelift for the 1964 model year. The new package dimensions were kept as close as possible to the original theme, 181.6" overall length. However, the Falcon Squire Wagon was stretched to 190" overall. Standard wagon engine was the 170cid 6 cylinder, with an optional 200cid "Special Six," or the rare 260cid/164hp. The Squire Wagon weighed 2,720lbs with a base price of $2,622 and total production of 6,766 examples. This 1964 Falcon Squire was sold new by Dockery Ford of Morristown, NJ to Arthur W. Preikschat of Short Hills, NJ. It was purchased to be their summer home wagon. It was ordered loaded with the Squire option 260cid V8, automatic, power steering, wire hubcaps, electric rear window, radio and roof rack. In the late 80's or early 90's, it was sold to a couple, for the wife, in Illinois where it was seldom driven until sold to a dealer in AZ in 2006. It now has 42,016 actual miles and is an original survivor. All paint is original, except for minor work on one fender. The interior is completely original, including carpet and seatbelts. All glass is original. Starts and drives as only a low mileage original car would.
