Description
Lot #1533.1 - This 1960 John Deere Model 530 tractor is the last of the two cylinder tractors after nearly 50 years of its success. John Deere, like Harley Davidson, spent decades perfecting the power and efficiency of a 2 cylinder engine. 1960 marks the end of an era for the "Johnny Popper". This model tractor was the middle brother to the little Model 330 and 430 and the big brothers 630 gas, 730 & 830 diesel tractors. The 30 series started their 5 model family in 1958 and ended in 1960 only months before the new generation 4 and 6 cylinder tractors was introduced. This 1960 Model 530 is one of only 2,065. There were only a total of 9,800 built from 1955 to 1960. The 530 you are viewing is reconditioned by a 53 year old John Deere dealership Frank Implement Company in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. All mechanical and cosmetic details were perfected to factory specifications. These tractors still play a dual role in today's market, both as a usable tractor with modern hydraulics and power steering and as a highly desirable collector tractor expressing its popularity in shows, parades and photos all over the world. This tractor was built in Waterloo, Iowa home of John Deere, the largest tractor factory in the world and today's famous producers of tractors from John Deere Co. now 172 years old. "Quality that lasts, value that keeps, Nothing Runs Like a Deere." Complete with its birth certificate, parts and service manuals.
