Description
Lot #1226 - You are viewing possibly one of the best all aluminum 427 Camaros in the country. This spectacular Camaro was taken down to bare metal and placed on a rotisserie. New fenders, quarters and doors were installed and primered. Block sanding was next to assure this Camaro would come out like eye candy. The 2-stage Garnet Red was applied. After it was cut and buffed the results were mind blowing. A new vinyl top was also installed. The floors were painted in the correct satin black and the car was reassembled. Everything is restored or new. All of the chrome, glass, and grille are in excellent condition. This Camaro was badged with proto type aluminum ZL1 badges as shown in GM history books. Goodyear Polyglas tires were mounted on Rally wheels to complete the exterior. The interior is an extension of the exterior. The black standard interior is as close to flawless as you will find. Everything is new from the carpet to the headliner. This interior features console and gauges, center clock, comfort grip steering wheel, AM radio and tachometer. It does not get any better than this. The under carriage is a work of art. The all aluminum 427cid engine was one of the second run engines that were produced with GM performance documentation. This engine is serial# 016. The engine is estimated to be producing 450hp and it breathes through a chambered exhaust system. The shifting is taken care of with the correct Muncie M22 Rock Crusher while the horsepower is planted to the ground through the GM 12-bolt posi rear spinning 4.11 gears. This outstanding restoration was completed by the well known Darrell Roth of Severance Colorado. He is considered to be one of the top Camaro restorers in the country.
