Lot #990.1 - This is the ultimate 1956 Pro-touring Bel Air. Equipped with a built LS2 engine with optional equipment such as a serpentine pulley system, polished heads, chrome alternator, power master starter, chrome power steering pump, chrome and polished brackets and custom headers. The LS2 is backed by a 4L60E transmission. This Bel Air has Wilwood 4-piston disc brakes and drilled and slotted rotors are also an upgrade. It also sports a Ford 9" posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears, Heidt's 2" dropped front spindles, tubular front A-arms with adjustable coilover shocks, Griffin polished radiator, full custom exhaust, security system, custom dash cluster with billet dash inserts and chrome tilt steering column. The 18" wheels are polished and powdercoated Forged Line plus the interior has a Pioneer stereo sound system. Luxury features include all power options such as steering, brakes, antenna, windows, door locks and trunk. Of course it has air conditioning. All new exterior chrome and stainless. Full custom interior. Frame was powdercoated and the exterior was finished in PPG's Blue Heaven accented with Bright Silver Frost Prism and Silver Rainbow flake. Body-off restoration began October 2008 and completed January 2009.
