Description
Lot #704 - Original restored Art Deco 1946 Chevy 3100 1/2-ton pickup. This is the last year of Art Deco styling, which carried over from the auto line in the 1940's. The 2-piece V-shaped windshield cranked out for ventilation and set them apart. Art Deco dominated the style in 1946. The prominent features were the vertical grille, which is very rare. During World War II, chrome accents were unavailable but for a limited number of trucks produced. Most were blackout chrome, which makes this highly chromed Art Deco truck desirable. In show condition with all of the original accessories. One of the finest and sought after trucks. This truck is loaded with very rare and very desirable options for this era. Grille guard, side mount spot light, side rails, five Artillery's with new white wall Silvertown tires, fog lights, safari crank out windshield, accessory right-hand windshield wiper. Because of the war-time era, this is a very rare pickup truck. This truck is also heavily accessorized. These classic trucks are some of the most appreciated today.
