Lot #1266.1 - This car, named Buster, was built new during the 1990-1991 season for Davey Allison. 1991 Daytona 500 Buster sat on the pole but crashed with Dale Earnhardt. May 1991 Talladega, qualified 4th, wrecked but finished 22nd. Repaired for the Pepsi 400 in July 1991, qualified 2nd and finished 3rd. July 1991 Talladega, qualified 7th and finished 9th. 1992 Daytona 500 Buster was a back-up car. When the primary car wrecked in final practice they brought Buster back out. This car started last in the Duel Qualifying race and finished 3rd. Buster went on to win the Daytona 500 that Sunday with Davey Allison. May 1992 won Talladega Winston race.
