Description
Lot #1283 - One of 500 Boss 429's built in 1970. This color is not seen too often, it is Calypso Coral with a black interior. Restored to factory specs by skilled craftsmen that take pride in their work. Not only is the drivetrain on this car all correct and matching numbers, but all the items are date coded correctly. The carb, radiator, alternator, heads, belts, hoses and tires are correct. Done back to factory specs, but on some areas we have over restored the car, which are a little nicer then they were new. All the body panels, the doors, fenders, hood and deck lid fit great. The base coat clear coat paint is nice and silky smooth. We did the items the factory put on such as over spray on the bottom of the car and satin sheen in the engine compartment. Look very closely at the nice spot welds on the inner aprons and the rear quarters, just like they came out of the factory with. We have all the correct pencil and chaulk marks and the paper numbers. This car was personally judged by Bob Perkins for quality and attention to detail just like it was from the factory. He gave us a Concours Trailered Gold through the MCA. We have the Kevin Marti report, the Window Sticker, the Build Sheet, both original sales invoices from Ford going to Kar Kraft and then on to Ray Whitfield Ford in Michigan. The drivetrain was rebuilt by Mike Anderson and he did a top notch job. Look this car over carefully, it is top of the line.
