Lot #58 - In 1941 production of the motorcycle was mostly suspended as the company turned out motorcycles for the war. In 1941, 18,428 were produced and few rolled off the line with sidecars. That is the birth of this 1941 Flathead Harley-Davidson with sidecar. This is a 41u medium compression 74cid twin motor and 3-speed with reverse. The 3-speed with reverse for Big Twins had to be specified separately on the order. 1941 was the first year Harley-Davidson added the stainless steel tank trim and the 7" round air cleaner. Bike and sidecar VIN's match. This bike's motor was rebuilt in 1996 and color was restored to its original color of Skyway Blue. The rebuilt motor has 491 miles. This bike is a bike show winner. At bike shows in Arkansas, Texas and New Mexico it has won 10 different top awards including People's Choice and Judge's Choice. Bike shows include N.W.
