Butthead won an incredible 7 races, and had an amazing 15 top 5's and 17 top 10's, and sat on pole 3 times. (only 2 finishes outside the top 10, it was dominating races before being wrecked and Bristol and had an engine failure at Rockingham, remove those races and u get an unreal avg. finish of 2.6 in 17 races.) Victories include Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond 3/96-Food City 500 at Bristol 4/97, famous bump and run on Rusty Wallace on last lap-Food City 500 at Bristol 3/98, record 4th straight Bristol win-Pennsylvania 500@Pocono 7/98-Pepsi Southern 500 at Darlington 9/98, NO BULL MILLION win and record 4th straight southern 500- season sweep of Rockingham races at the Goodwrench Service Plus 400 2/98- AC Delco 400 11/98 -clinched the 1998 Winston Cup. Poles include Martinsville 9/95, Pocono 6/98, Darlington 3/99. Butthead finished 2nd 4 times and sat on 7 outside poles, giving it 10 front row starts and 11 1st or 2nds in 19 races. During Jeff's greatest year, his record breaking championship season in 1998, Butthead was the workhorse, starting in 9 races with an astounding 5 wins, 3 2nds and 1 3rd. The provenance of this car is as impressive as its race history. Original and complete with 18 degree race motor rebuilt from original race used Hendrick parts.
