For decades Oldsmobile was the brand GM used to try new technology. This made Oldsmobile a natural for industry suppliers to collaborate with on product innovations. Such was the case with the world's only glass roof Olds Aurora. The GM Design Oldsmobile Studios collaborated with the glass manufacturer to create a glass panel that would connect the front windshield to the rear back light with a smooth piece of tempered glass, resulting in an elegant and futuristic effect.
