Description
Lot #77 - This is no ordinary Nova, this is a real Super Sport that originally came with a 396/375hp motor and it was backed up to a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission. While restoring the car, we found most of the Build Sheet intact and very legible. The numbers on the Build Sheet match the Trim Tag on the firewall. We have just spent the past 1 1/2 years restoring this car inside and out. For starters, the original motor and transmission are long gone. It is now powered by a LS6 spec, 454cid, 4-bolt main, solid lifter motor that is topped off with Merlin heads. It backs to a 4-speed manual transmission and into the original 12-bolt rear end. We just had the entire car painted and color sanded to a nice glassy finish. The interior is all brand new including the seat covers front and rear, carpet, headliner, dash pad, floor mats, door panels, door sill plates, windshield and seat trim. The trunk is freshly spatter painted and it looks good under the hood as well. The motor runs and sounds awesome and it puts out an honest 500+hp and leaves black stripes down the street at will. We just went through the whole top end of the motor, rebuilt the transmission and rebuilt the rear using 3.55 gears and an Auburn posi-traction unit.
