Lot #12.1 - This vehicle was used by the General Motors Proving Grounds as a research and development vehicle. It was special ordered by the Hydra-matic Division in a unique configuration. Engineering notes show additions and changes made at the proving grounds. Changes were the 2.14 rear axle was changed to a 3.23 rear axle, dual exhaust with stainless steel exhaust manifolds were added, 2004R 4-speed transmission was changed, and 15x7 chrome factory wheels were added along with 245x60x15 Eagle GT tires. This car has T-tops, bucket seats with 6-way power, power door locks, power windows, power trunk lid release, sport console with floor mounted shifter, padded landau vinyl roof , air conditioning, cruise control, pulse wiper system, firm ride and handling package, 5.0 307Y engine, leather wrapped steering wheel, tilt steering, original floor mats and external fiber optic monitoring lamps. This vehicle is 99% original as it came off the Proving Grounds, except the radio has been replaced (the original radio is included in the sale), and the tires have been replaced with 235x60x15 H rated Michelin Pilots.
