Lot #1055 - This 1957 Thunderbird is a complete restoration with only test miles since completion. The restoration was performed by students at McPherson College, the only college in the country to offer a Bachelors Degree in automotive restoration. Over the course of the 2-year restoration, the students have performed the restoration including rebuilding the engine and transmission, re-painting the body, and re-trimming the interior. This Thunderbird has been restored to original, as per the codes on the data plate. Body: 40, color: N, trim: XA. The car includes a factory porthole removable hardtop and is built with a 312cid/245hp V8 and Fordomatic 3-speed automatic transmission. It is painted Gunmetal Gray and has black and white vinyl interior. All proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will be used to benefit the 110 students enrolled in the automotive restoration program at McPherson College.
