Description
Lot #966 - This is a full custom 1956 Buick station wagon with almost a 100 modifications to the body alone. In fact, it was a 4 door, now it's 2. It is a very flashy car and always gathers a crowd. It was hand-built and designed by a very established and well respected car builder in Omaha, NE. The car took 2 years and thousands of man hours to complete. One reason why is because you can't buy body parts out of Jegs. It's not a '52 truck or a shoe box Chevy and it sure is not a fiberglass Highboy or Willys sitting on a Mustang frame. This is the real deal and people who appreciate "doing things the hard way" are sincerely impressed. It hit the road for the first time in the Fall of 2005. It has been driven roughly 20 times since then. It has always performed well on the street and in competition. It is truly a unique work of art and craftsmanship. There was no expense spared or any corners cut. It is simply a well built car that balances the "radical custom" style with the classic Hot Rod style better than many of the other vehicles out there today. It features a 455 Olds motor with all the fancy stuff, Turbo 400 transmission, 9" Ford with 4.11 gears, ceramic header, stainless exhaust, disc brakes, dual 650 carburetors, line lock brakes and independent suspension. Done in Chromealusion Blasberry Indigo paint on top with Manhattan Beige on the bottom. It was pin striped by hand with shaved doors, decked hood, molded rain rail, boxed frame (in spots), VW bug head lights, Packard tail lights, air bags, 22" spinner wheels and safety glass throughout. Also features power windows, Ididit tilt steering column, Billet Specialties half wrapped steering wheel, Cadillac STS 8-way seats, Dakota digital dash, custom made and lighted center console, matching graphics on the interior as on the exterior, dual batteries, EZ wiring, remote doors, Alpine TV and receiver, 12" Treo speakers in custom enclosure, surround sound amp, neon in cab and alarm.
