Description
Lot #626 - This 300K Silver Series 2 door coupe is very rare. They were made as special order cars produced only during the second half of 1964 and this is one of them. It is a single owner car and was restored for $18,000 in 1990. That included rebuilding the radiator, new hoses, fuel tank, original correct color paint, headliner, carpet and upholstery to match the original. The vinyl top was matched and replaced in 2000. The car has always been garaged and has been rarely driven since its restoration, although it runs very well. The chrome, dash, door panels, steering wheel and horn ring are all original. The original rectangular "aircraft-style" steering wheel is a unique and unusual feature. The original 413cid engine block cracked and was replaced with the identical engine in 1967 at the Detroit Chrysler factory. The car has 98,980 original miles. Everything is stock including the original push-button AM radio and everything, except for the clock and cigarette lighter, works. It was given the Gold Award in the San Diego Chrysler Fest '93 hosted by the SOCAL 300 Group and sponsored by the Chrysler Corporation. This car is complete with the original Window Sticker and the original Bill of Sale made out to the current owner.
