Description
Lot #1283 - This is an extremely unique automobile. It is an original 1969 "S"-engine BOSS 429 Mustang with KK #1329. However, this Mustang was never sold to the public. It was a dealer backed drag car that was raced locally in Minnesota. I have had the car completely restored sparing no expense. The restoration does include all the original sheet metal plus a $50,000 engine build. The engine is a Holman Moody NASCAR engine that has been stroked to 525cid with a resulting 600+hp. The engine includes a rare experimental Ford 2x4-barrel carb set up and new Dawson Headers. The car has the following: full-hemi heads, original magnesium NASCAR valve covers, original NASCAR spark plug wires, race specification flywheel and clutch, custom high performance Carter fuel pump, custom exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, and a 4.30 Detroit locker rear. There are original pictures of the car from the 1969 drag racing vintage. In addition, I have history from the first and second owners, including pictures from when it was sold from the dealership in used condition. In terms of documentation, this car includes over 1,000 pictures from the restoration, two original Build Sheets, one original inspection sheet, original invoice, Marti Report and many other documents. This car was never tubbed and was raced in the stock drag class, thus, retaining its original body work.
