Lot #950.1 - My neighbor bought this car new from Newins Ford in Bayshore, New York. He kept the car for 35 years and it was always garaged. It is perhaps the most documented BOSS around. There were only 1,806 of these rare "R" Code cars produced. It is equipped with the factory 351cid/330hp engine, wide ratio transmission, 3.91 Traction-Lok rear, factory Hurst shifter and all standard equipment. The engine compartment has been freshly detailed. 99% of the original paint exists. When we took the rear plate off the car, the original jacking sticker remains. The car is still registered to the original owner. Documentation includes Build Sheet, Deluxe Marti Report and the original owner himself is available to tell you about this car. With the engine compartment detail came Hooker Headers, new Zoom clutch kit and Holley carburetor which increased horsepower. No it's not a re-paint, and it has not changed hands a dozen times. It is an original car still registered to the first owner with only 34,000 original miles. I even have the front license plate bracket. No rust, no rot, you can still see the overspray and factory sound deadener on the undercarriage. During transport, the radio antenna was broken off. The consignor has promised to deliver an original replacement to the lucky new owner.
