Lot #668 - This beautiful 1948 Ford Deluxe coupe has almost everything a person could wish for. The body is a 1948 steel super deluxe coupe with Fairlane Fiberglass rear fenders to accommodate wider wheels and a 1941 Studebaker tail light lens, really neat. Also features Wieland Stealth manifold with expensive Flow Tec carburetor, HPC block hugger headers with Flowmaster exhaust, MSD Ignition, Chevy Turbo 400 transmission with a Corvette 2,800 stall converter, Curry 9" Ford rear end with 11" drum brakes, TCI indepenent front suspension TCI with 11" disc brakes, Flaming River rack & pinion steering, TCI parallel leaf springs on rear suspension, Griffin aluminum radiator, louvered Fender aprons, Centerline wheels, tilt GM column with Budnik steering wheel, Dakota cruise control, Dakota Digital instruments, Air-Tique air conditioning, Sony CD player, Polk speakers, Painless Wiring and battery cut-off, Posi-glide power windows, one piece front window and specialty windshield wipers. The engine is custom built by JJ Machine and Engine Works of Ramona California. It is a 350 ZZ4 with lots of custom work that has about 2,000 miles on it since it was built. The engine also has aluminum heads, roller cam, MSD ignition, Chevy Turbo 400 transmission and 150 ft/lbs CSR mini high torque gear reduction starter. The front seat is Glide Engineering with charcoal gray vinyl. The carpets are charcoal gray wool. The frame has been powdercoated and the paint and body work is simply magnificent. This is just a small list of what has been done to this magnificent custom car. The car turns like a sports car and goes down the freeway like a new Caddy.
