Description
Lot #706 - Take home this piece of NASCAR history. To commemorate the 60 years of NASCAR, Bruce Rossmeyer, CEO of 15 Harley-Davidson locations including the World's Largest Harley-Davidson dealership located at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona, has teamed up with NASCAR to create 60 custom motorcycles, each individually serialized #1 through #60. Each motorcycle in the officially licensed NASCAR 60th Anniversary Motorcycle Series brought to you by Destination Daytona captures the true essence of NASCAR, a sport that combines design, technology and speed. This bike is #60 of 60 and the last bike in the series. The bike is powered by a 110cid Screaming Eagle Twin Cam 110B engine that is bored 4 over with a 4.38 stroke to produce 108hp and 110 ft/lbs of torque. The smooth shifting transmission is a 6-speed Cruise Drive system. The stance achieves the classic Harley-Davidson style with a 69" wheelbase, 4.5" ground clearance and a 35 degree rake. The 60th bike, like all of the NASCR 60th Anniversary Bikes, is uniquely badged with its limited edition number on the "jockey shift" knob, engine cylinder head and timing cover. The decorative "jockey shift" is non-functional. The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. (NASCAR), who celebrated 60 years in 2008, is the sanctioning body for one of North America's premier sports. NASCAR is the No. 1 spectator sport - holding 17 of the top 20 highest attended sporting events in the U.S., and is the No. 2 rated regular-season sport on television. NASCAR races are broadcast in more than 150 countries and in more than 30 languages. Bike #60 will benefit NASCAR driver Kyle Petty's charity Victory Junction Gang through The NASCAR Foundation. Victory Junction Gang, located in Randleman, NC, enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment. Will benefit Victory Junction Gang through The NASCAR Foundation.
