Description
Lot #1027 - A Marina Blue with bright blue interior, 427/435hp coupe with the original engine and drivetrain. A numbers matching car that is documented by an extensive photo album of the body-off restoration done in the late 1980's. Awarded NCRS Top Flight in 2002 and Bloomington Gold in 2008. Documented with the original Tank Sticker that is shown in photo album still on tank as car was disassembled, the original Window Sticker, Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual, many receipts and maintenance invoices with some going back to the original owner of 18 years and old registrations including one from the original owner selling the car to the second owner from State of California to Arizona in 1985. The odometer statement on that registration shows 42,067 original miles in 1985, and the car now has 43,460 original miles on it. Excellent documentation for that mileage is included because of the restoration started by the third owner in 1987. The car features a M21 close ratio 4-speed transmission, 3.70 posi-traction, F-41 special suspension, power windows, headrests, AM/FM radio, original Ralley wheels but there are reproduction bolt-on wheels on car at present, side pipes, Air Injection Reactor meaning it's a California car, and a 427/435hp engine documented by the Window and Tank Stickers. It has the original body panels except one rear bottom panel that was replaced with another Corvette panel. The frame is straight, never hit and tracts straight. The car has been in private collections since the restoration was completed in the early 1990's. This is an awesome example of a well documented original car caught early in life to preserve all the original components.
