Lot #485 - Fuel Injected 327/375hp engine. Red on red. 1 of only 771 built in 1965 with Fuel Injection. This was the last year for Fuel injection and the first year for disc brakes on Corvettes. Also, only approximately 1,451 cars had radio delete. This Corvette was body-on restored by a restoration shop in Omaha, Nebraska, at the end of 2006.This Corvette has been in a private collection and stored indoors and under cover since purchased. The restoration photos of the over 400hrs spent on the restoration come with the vehicle on a CD. This Corvette has a matching numbers drivetrain. The engine is a Flint small block L84 with a casting date of January 14, 1965. The fuel unit is not the original one that came with the car, but it is a rebuilt replacement unit #2733. The transmission is a Muncie 4-speed with a casting date of February 1, 1965. The rear end is an AO 3.70:1 ratio 65 posi-traction unit. The body is by Smith #1535 with a paint code of "UU" which is Rally Red and a trim code of "407", which is red vinyl interior that has been upgraded to a red leather interior. The paint and chrome were redone during the restoration.The suspension and brakes were all rebuilt and a new stainless steel parking brake system from Ikerds has been installed. A new steel spare rim and a new lock for the spare tub are included. There are 4 knock-off rims with hubs and spinners installed. The following manuals are included: a vehicle assembly manual, a disc brake manual, a Rochester Fuel Injection service manual and an owner's guide. Also included is a custom-fit Covercraft Dustop car cover.
