Description
Lot #766.1 - I'm delighted to inform you that Vegas's own #1 selling artist in the world, Michael Godard, has teamed up with Vegas's widely publicized Divine 1 Customs. The collaboration of these two modern-day Di Vinci's, has blended the line dividing the art and auto worlds. Godard and Misha Munoz, owner and president of Divine 1 Customs, have brought a new following into one-another's world. The chosen canvas for the two men was Munoz's own 1961 Impala. The bubble top was already a show stopping masterpiece, winning over 50 trophies, as well as being featured in "Chevy Rumble" in June 2008. After stripping the car of its Candy Red paint and repainting it black, the canvas was ready for Godard to begin. After a week, the Six Ace came back with a fresh new Godard creation. This time the artist tied his famous olive with the Wild West and infamous Vegas. The story of Mr. Olive starts on the trunk. He's ready for Vegas with a martini in one hand and a sack of money in the other. Then he makes his way around the passenger side, passing the world famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. The cards are hot, so to speak, as the king and ace card imply with flames shooting off from them on the passenger side front wheel well. The olive appears on the hood playing Texas Hold 'em, hence the name of the vehicle, the "Hold 'em Mobile". The hood shows the olive holding an ace behind his back while winning big. On the driver's side, you'll find flaming dice just passing over the "passline", with again, the olive winning big. Like every true Vegas story, he loses it all, is left crying in the desert, and headed for the pawn shop. Throughout this spectacular hand-painted masterpiece are reminders of the year of the vehicle, with 6's and aces. When Munoz and crew got the Impala back, it was time to turn this canvas, into a one-off Divine 1 Customs creation. Kicker sponsored our one-off classic creation, as shown by the 6 amps in the trunk, 4 speakers in each front kick panel, and the 3 subs and 2 speakers across the back window. Most classic vehicles you see are just that - old and classic. This time, Munoz updated a few things, other than just the sound system, which he is famous for. Our 1961 Impala is started by the flick of a switch and push of a button. You can cruise down the road hearing your favorite song on your iPod since the car is iPod integrated. Lower it to your taste with our Air Ride suspension. Under the hood is a 350cid small block, complete chrome engine with a hot rod black painted engine bay. The undercarriage is just as breathtaking with fully powdercoated Candy Apple Red to match the dashboard. The build of this classic car was incredible as is the finished product. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
