Has 75,000 original miles, a beautiful interior and exterior, and its engine compartment and trunk also both in superior condition. It seats 9, with folding jump seats, no chauffeur glass separation, and comes with a rear air conditioning, rear environmental controls and rear radio controls. Everything works, including both air conditionings. The 472cid engine starts immediately and runs well. A discreet CD has been added to the glovebox. The car comes complete with the original dealer's invoice, GM Protect-o-Plate, operator's handbook and 1969 Cadillac shop manual. This Caddy has a somewhat storied history. It was the last of four Cadillac limousines owned by Hilda Blumberg Weinert of Seguin, Texas, who served as Texas' Democratic Committee woman for over 25 years, and was good friends with most of Texas' more prominent Democratic politicians of the era, including President Lyndon Johnson, U.S. Speaker Sam Rayburn, Vice-President John Nance Garner, and Governor John Connally. Upon the death of Mrs. Weinert in 1971, ex-President Lyndon Johnson rode in this car to her funeral. Since it was purchased in 1968, the car has lived in the same garage at Mrs. Weinert's home in Seguin, TX.
