Description
Lot #360 - Rare Pacific Green over Old English White. The interior is the correct Creamy White with green piping and green Wilton wool carpet. The top and tonneau are the correct English Everflex material in white. The car was driven 1,600 miles in the Summer of 2007 including a 900 mile trip to the West Coast 2007 Austin Healey Rendezvous in Washington where the car won a Class Award. This Healey was the subject of a total rotisserie restoration with no expense spared. The engine was rebuilt to MKIII BJ8 specifications with BJ8 cam and larger 2" carburetors to boost horsepower from 118 to 150+. A period 1960's finned valve cover sets off the engine compartment. Upgraded with race setup 4-wheel disc brakes. Healey 3000's only had front disc brakes with the exceptions of racecars and this Healey has the race setup with discs on the front and rear. During the restoration, a smaller set of frame rails were installed inside the original rails for a more rigid chassis and better ride. The rare color combination attracts a lot of attention when driven. It's a great driver.
