Description
Lot #1046 - This 1967 GTO is a California Black Plate car I purchased in the dry high desert region of Los Angeles around 2002. This car did not have any rust. We took the body off and started by sand-blasting and powdercoating the frame. We installed new brake and gas lines and bushings and bearings. We then added front disc brakes, close ratio power steering and an Ididit tilt steering column. On the bottom end we added a 355 posi-traction rear end, B&M Turbo transmission, B&M shifter and transmission cooler, geared starter, Flow Masters and electronic exhaust cutouts. The engine is a 400cid Pontiac. It has a Crower cam and lifters, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Doug's Headers and a MSD 6 al ignition with a billet distributor. The MSD and the coil are hidden inside the car to give the firewall a beautiful smooth finish. The battery was moved to the trunk and special radiator mounts were machined to hold the Ron Davis aluminum radiator and the Black Magic fan. The nose clip has been welded to the radiator clip and all holes filled to give a very smooth polished look to the front of the engine compartment. The intake manifold is an Offenhauser dual quad with 4 Weber side draft carbs by Inglese Induction Systems. The stacks are gold plated. We modified the March Billet System to put the alternator on the passenger side and made several custom parts like the fuel filter holder. The body is flawless with deep black paint that sits on 17" Foose wheels. The car has all new smoked glass and refinished trim. The interior is totally custom. The gauges are from Dakota Digital. We have added 4 Procar custom leather bucket seats and a custom console. All of the side panels are custom leather and the headliner has the Pontiac logo. The trunk is custom lined with a CD changer. This car rides on a Air Ride Technologies Level Pro air ride system.
