Description
Lot #93 - If you're a Chevelle enthusiast and love Pro-Touring cars, both of your dreams have come true with the 1972 Chevelle Super Sport. This Chevelle has been painted in a black base coat/clear coat with white SS stripes. The paint has been wet-sanded and buffed and as you can see it is very show worthy. The chrome and trim remains very nice as is the glass. The black vinyl top has been replaced and is in excellent condition. 18" and 20" polished custom Ralley wheels with performance rubber have been mounted giving this Chevelle an awesome look. As you look through the wheels you can see that Wilwood disc brakes with drilled rotors are on all four wheels for the ultimate stopping power. This black SS is an eye-full and where ever you go it will draw a crowd. Open either door and you will find a white interior featuring Strato bucket seats, center console, AM/FM/CD sound system, custom Corban dash with a complete set of Autometer gauges, Vintage Air conditioning and a comfort grip steering wheel. Nothing was over looked in this interior. It is ready to show. In the trunk you will find a spare tire, Magna 300 electric fuel pump and trunk-mounted battery. You will also find a 10" subwoofer, sound system amp and 10-disc CD changer. Now for the best part of this Chevelle SS. This Chevelle no longer has the 350 4-barrel engine under the hood that it came with. Now when you raise the hood you will find a detailed engine compartment that is home to a factory 572 GM crate motor producing 620hp. That's right 620hp with air conditioing. This aluminum head 572 has a Billet Specialties serpentine pulley set up for the alternator, power steering and Vintage Air conditioning system. A Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps this monster running cool while a set of jet coated hooker super-comp headers lets it breathe through a 3" ceramic coated mandrel bent exhaust system. Custom valve covers and a K&N air filter completes this wild engine compartment. As for shifting duties, how about a 4l80E 4-speed automatic transmission complete with a computer programmer built by Phoenix Transmission. As you can see by the original looking shifter in the car there are 4 forward gears. An aluminum drive shaft with forged steel yokes transfers the hp to the 12-bolt Eaton posi-traction rear differential equipped with forged axles and held in place with boxed control arms and urethane bushings. Talk about a serious Pro-touring car. This Chevelle is bad to the bone. You can drive it with the air conditioning blowing cool or drop the hammer and cook those rear tires as long as the accelerator is on the floor. This is an incredible car.
