Description
Lot #1364 - This is a restored 1966 HEMI, 4-Speed, Plymouth Belvedere II. Probably the most understated powerhouse ever built. It was shipped from the factory on March 17th, 1966 to Fretwell Motor Co. in Oklahoma City, OK. The car was born in the St Louis factory with the monster HEMI engine backed by a 4 speed transmission and a DANA 60 rear end. It came with red exterior and red interior with bench seats and factory tinted windows exactly how it is has been restored to now. Not many of these babies are around. The engine has been slightly modified for moderate performance gains, built by Hale Performance and Sheppard Engines. All carburetors and the intake manifold are original and have the correct date codes. The ignition system is factory and the engine appears as factory from the outside. Only internal components were upgraded (CAM, pistons, etc). It runs excellent as a HEMI should. Another modification made to the car is all aluminum, custom built, 3"dual exhaust. This is one of the finest '66 Plymouth Belvedere II's around and can be enjoyed for many years to come. This car has been documented by Chrysler Corporate Historical Collection as an original 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II HEMI.
