Lot #1338.1 - This 1966 Corvette body was professionally built for road racing. The car was a featured Meguiar's car at SEMA and was a featured car in "Hot Rod" magazine. The paint is a custom pearl mix design. The chassis is a radically modified original frame with C5 suspension up front and C4 suspension in the rear. The transmission is a modified Richmond T-10 4-speed with a .82 overdrive. The engine is an all aluminum 555cid big block Chevy that makes over 850hp. Donavan aluminum block, Dart cylinder heads with a compression ratio of 12.5:1, 765 lift solid roller cam, MSD ignition, Hilborn electronic Fuel Injection, lightweight crankshaft from Callies and Crower billet connecting rods. The interior features the lightweight racing seats and a 6-point roll bar. The upholstery is done in custom-made tan leather with 5-point safety harness from G-Force. The original gauges and caribine ECU monitor the engine. Performance stats include 9 second 1/4 mile ET's 200mph top speed and 1 "G" cornering. This car was shown twice in ISCA. Once in Chicago where it won First in Class, Best Custom and Best of Show, beating out a Chip Foose car and a Troy Trepania car. This car was also shown at the Detroit Autorama where it won another Best Custom Award and First in Class.
