Lot #355 - Known as the "King of the Hill" in the early 1990's, the ZR1 Corvette was the fastest world class GT production car of its time. The ZR1 set numerous speed records including world records for the prestigious 24 Hour and also the 5000-mile endurance runs. The record breaking ZR1 averaged 175.885mph on its 24-hour run, stopping only for gasoline, tires and driver changes. The ZR1 is powered by a 5.7 Liter, 32-valve, dual overhead cam, LT5 V8 producing 375hp. The all aluminum LT5 V8 engine is both an artistic and technological masterpiece. This pristine example of a ZR1 is a very limited color of turquoise metallic exterior with black leather interior. The ZR1 was so completely equipped, a choice of roof panels was the only option. Although the original 1991 Window Sticker reflects a price of just over $65,000, many ZR1's sold in excess of $100,000. This automobile is cherished by collectors of high performance vehicles.
