Description
Lot #954.1 - This is a real RS/SS, original X22 factory 396 4-speed. It has undergone a full nut and bolt concourse rotisserie restoration with just approximately 2,500 miles since completion. This is a matching numbers block with M21 transmission. The original matching numbers M21 is also included but not currently installed in car as it was replaced with new condition correct date code M21 at time of restoration. This burgundy Camaro correct code 67/67 with correct black hockey stripes and show quality black undercarriage. Original matching numbers block verified by original dash VIN. This 396 features aluminum Edelbrock heads that have been professionally buffed and polished, an Edelbrock aluminum intake that's triple chrome plated with 750 Speed Demon carb. Also the tall aluminum Heartbeat of America valve covers are triple chrome plated. Polished Edelbrock aluminum water pump and March V belt pulley system. There's a polished Be Cool radiator and chrome power steering pump. Powered by a MSD 6AL ignition with inside interior remote timing adjustment unit. Exhaust flows through Hooker competition headers into a custom mandrel bent 3" torque tech exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The entire system, including headers, is ceramic coated and polished all the way to the tip of the tailpipes. Also, included is nitrous system complete with 2 polished billet aluminum bottles mounted on chrome rails in trunk. The nitrous was installed for show only and never used, but is totally ready if you are. Behind this 396 is a fully polished aluminum bell housing holding the M21 close-ration 4-speed transmission. From the transmission to a 4" polished aluminum driveshaft connected to a Chris Alston FAB9 completely chromed rear-end and chrome Mono Leal Springs. It's also equipped with C.E Slide-A-Link traction bars and silver powdercoated bolt-on frame connectors. The front suspension features chrome upper and lower control A-arms with QA1 adjustable coilovers. To stop the beast is 4-wheel disc brakes featuring SSBC style polished aluminum calipers. The interior is all new with black hound's tooth seating and factory tilt steering with rosewood wheel. Custom features include 140mph speedometer, Tic-Tock-Tach and custom white face Autometer console gauges. Finally, this car sits on 17x8 American Racing torque thrust II polished aluminum wheels and Bridgestone tires. Fronts are 245/40/17 and rears are 255/50/17. This Pro-Touring proven show winner has won 25 times including Best of Show, Best Engine Compartment and Best Undercarriage.
