Description
Lot #326 - Complete pan-off rotisserie restoration completed in 2006. Dry Arizona car with all original sheet metal, motor and period correct accessories used. Extensive NOS and original parts used throughout. Original 36hp engine and transmission rebuilt along with all mechanical systems/units. All sheet metal including floor pan has been powdercoated. All rubber seals and gaskets are new from top to bottom. All original trim including correct bumpers have been re-chromed. Over riders are reproduction. Paint system is all PPG with top coat being two-stage urethane enamel. Originality was maintained other than period-correct accessories including steering wheel, exhaust, wheel rings, antenna, wide-white walls and radio. This car was always registered in Arizona and only the two pan halves were replaced. No rust repair was performed on this car. The under body was painted prior to assembly as per factory. This car is nut and bold restored from top to bottom with close attention to detail. Vehicle has only been driven a few hundred miles since the restoration was completed in 2006. I have factory documentation that shows that the engine is original to the car and that the color is correct for the year of manufacture. The builder has been restoring vintage Volkswagens for over 25 years with great success with world wide sales of fully restored Microbuses, Ghias as well as Beetles.
