Lot #1248 - While Woody station wagons continue to be loved by collectors, the Ford V8 consistently is the marque of choice. The Model 81A Ford Deluxe for 1938 offered a redesigned grille and standard side glass windows. The Model 81A was powered by an 85hp, 221cid V8 engine. It had an advertised list price of $825.00 new and 6,944 were sold. This Woody was known as the "Ballard Meat Market" car and has spent its entire life in Seattle, WA. After service as the delivery vehicle for the market, it changed hands a few times until purchased by an officer in the Northwest Ford V8 Club. As an appointed National Advisor of Woodys, he set about in a total frame-up 4 1/2 year restoration of this very solid, mostly original car. After showing it in National Ford V8 Competition, he sold it to the current owner. This Woody has the following options: radio, glovebox clock, third seat, banjo steering wheel, locking gas cap, white wall tires and a Columbia 2-speed. This car can be driven with confidence.
