Lot #724 - "Elliot" is a "one off" show car; a black 1939 all-steel modified Chevrolet 2-door sedan, one of the last cars built by the famous Lee Osborne. Purchased and named "Elliot" in 2001 by Jennifer Revson, sister of racing legend Peter Revson, and comes with photo documentation of the resoration and building process. "He" has a removable Carson style top of black Hartz cloth, dark green leather seats and matching wool carpets. He sports a 350 cubic inch modified Chevrolet motor (balanced) approx 400+ HP, a 350 turbo hydro transmission with shift kit and 2500 stall converter, a high volume oil pump, 268 competition cam, Edelbrock timing chain, forged pistons with a 9.2 to 1 compression ratio, Edelbrock performance intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor with electric choke. His chassis has stock frame rails, custom made front cross members using Mustang spindles, Carrera chrome coil-over shocks in front, tubular upper and lower A-arms. Ford 9" rear and narrowed 3 1/2", 3.00:1 ratio, Posies Superslide leaf springs, NASCAR slider mounts, Mustang front disc brakes, Ford rear drum brakes, Corvette power booster and double master cylinder, ECI power brake unit, All Street and Performance brackets. VDO gauges, tilt leather and polished aluminum Le Carra steering wheel, Driver's seat with 6-way power, front roll-up windows, wool carpet, air conditioning and heat. Some of Elliot's custom made features are: his side mirrors, steel grill, rear lexan window, rear side lexan windows, taillights, polished aluminum shifter, dashboard, stainless steel exhaust, "third" brake light, turn signal lights, shaved doors with remote control openers, etc. Elliot has won: Pro's pick at NSRA nationals, Pro's pick at Goodguys Indy nationals, Rodders' choice at The Frog Follies, The cool convert pick at Goodguys Charlotte, and Best Of Show at several local events.
