Description
Paul McCartney's childhood 'Rupert The Bear' book, 1948. A real piece of Paul McCartney history. His personally owned 1948 issue of the RUPERT The Bear Book. It is probably one of the earliest pieces of McCartney memorabilia, and features the earliest known Paul McCartney signature, where he has written his name, and his brother's Mike on the inside title page. He has also written his then address along with various scribbles and doodles. This actual book was used by McCartney in the promo video for his 1994 single We All StandTogether, where he can be seen finding his childhood book in a loft, before flicking through it as the song starts. The book was given to Shelagh Johnston, by Jim McCartney (Pauls father) as a memento and thank you for all the help she had given him whilst being the secretary for The Beatles Official Fan Club and for her personal dealings with Paul's father, at the McCartney residence from 1961 to 1964. Reserve $20,000.
