Lot #1298.1 - Perhaps the most prestigious award a Corvette can receive is the Duntov -Mark Excellence Award. This Corvette received the coveted Duntov - Mark of Excellence Award at the NCRS National Convention. An owner must attain a judging score of at least 97% out of 100 % based on an original "as manufactured" standard. It must also pass a performance test of all vehicle mechanical functions, all of which must operate as though it were a new car, without a single failure.
Only a handful of Corvettes have had the honor to receive the coveted Chevy/Vettefest Triple Crown Award. This award verifies that the vehicle has been judged and met the highest standards by three of the most highly respected automobile restoration organizations including the NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) Top Flight, Bloomington Gold, and Chevy Vettefest Gold Spinner. It is powered by a matching numbers rare dual carb 270HP engine that was only available after mid-January of 1958. (Only 10% of Corvettes produced had this option.)
