Lot #944.1 - This 1968 Camaro was introduced to the public on the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour in June 2005. It was photographed by the editor of Chevy High Performance during the Power Tour and featured as the cover car for the October 2005 issue. This previously puny Camaro went from wrecked barn dweller to the gorgeous cruiser you see here. In just over 6 months and approximately 1,800 hours of thrashing, Terry Stevens and his friends straightened, smoothed, and painted the body, bolted in the 450 HP LS-2 crate engine, backed it with a Tremec 6 speed, and the best running gear and exterior and interior appointments available from more than 30 major aftermarket companies. The result is a car that is truly a pleasure to drive on the Long Haul Power Tour, to weekend cruise-ins, or just on a top-down tour of the countryside.
