Lot #624.1 - This 1963-1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL is a great example of a true American classic automobile. The model change was brought out midway through 1963 and was the top trim level. The current owner is the 3rd owner. The previous owner was a member of the Galaxie club in the Northwest and limited the use of the car to weekend cruises and car shows. Major restorations have been completed within the past 2 years including paint, upholstery and rubbers. The original 352 engine was replaced with a correct year, professionally built 330 H.P. 390 engine. The driveline, including all brakes, bearings and exhaust have been rebuilt or replaced. The recent restoration makes this car one of the most attractive Fords ever built.
