Description
Lot #437 - This complete frame-up restoration was done entirely by the seller, with the exception of the upholstery which was done by a custom upholstery shop. No kits were used in this car. Total restoration took over five years. All doors and hood are hand-fitted. All engine and other parts are correct, including correct and numbered 240 HP engine, transmission, and 4.56 posi. Paint is number correct. Body work included replacement of any damaged, dinged, or rusted metal. Body was then filled and sanded until perfect. Etching primer was followed by urethane primer with hours of sanding between coats. Base coat was followed by six layers of clear coat with each layer being scuffed, sanded with 2000 grit, and many hours of hand buffing. The result is a deep, clear, smooth black.
