Lot #20 - Purchased new from Smith Motor Co. of Garden Grove, CA and delivered to the original owner on 4/30/1966 in Huntington Beach, CA. Came factory equipped with 289 cubic inch V8, cruise-o-matic transmission, power steering, AM radio, and core type heater. (The vintage air conditioning unit is a recent addition.) The factory paint was Sautern Gold with black vinyl interior. The car has been re-painted according to Ford specifications a nice Candy-Apple red. The original owner moved to Arizona in 1973 and in 1980 sold the car to its 2nd buyer who lived in Prescott, AZ and this was his "Sunday fun-car". This 2nd owner kept up with regular maintenance and in some years drove less than 1000 miles. Due to health and age the 2nd owner sold the car to Avery Greene on July 16,2005 with owner stating actual miles of 55,180. The car was shipped to the dealership where it has undergone a complete restoration. Most of the work being performed by master mechanic, Daniel Landers and the Avery Greene Motors team, Complete body restoration included replacement or re-finishing of all bright work and component detail. Records for maintenance, transmission over-haul, and restoration will be made available for inspection upon request. The result is a restored to basic original 1966 Ford Mustang specifications and is probably one of the finest examples of the vehicle of that era.
