Description
Lot #61 - 1959 marks not only the last year that Oldsmobile would win the Daytona 500 (with Richard Petty at the wheel), but it also has to go down as an all-time styling icon - especially when presented in "Bubble Top" hard top coupe form as seen here. To model 98 received the top spec motor, a 394 cubic inch big block rated at 315hp and 435lb-ft of torque. Clearly, this is the model to have and this particular car is a premium example. A two owner car with 90,000 original miles, this 98 has spent its entire life in the car-friendly Pacific Northwest. It has since been fully restored to original presentation and specification. Factory options and equipment include power windows, 6-way power seats, 2 speed electric wipers, power brakes, and power steering. This car still retains its original Wonderbar Radio and has spectacular chrome wire wheels with wide whitewall tires. Included is an original shop manual, a file of information and history, and receipts for recent maintenance that includes new steering gear, radiator, voltage regulator and more to ensure that this 98 drives as good as it looks.
