Description
Lot #717 - What started out as a stock 1999 C5 Corvette, soon transformed into not your average driver. Not built as a "trailer queen", this car is street driven on a regular basis, and is extremely reliable on the road, and with 618 rear-wheel horsepower. The C5 Vette is already a great canvas to start with, and I wanted to create a machine that was unique and unexpected while still keeping with the feel and lines of the Vette. Something wild that remained true to the original style of the car. The skin was the place to start. Front winglets, side body scoops and a new hood were added. A flawless two-tone Kandy Pavo Purple paint scheme with ghost flames, with traditional "old school" pearl flames over top, Weld wheels with B.F. Goodrich rubber, all bolted to Baer and SSBC brakes. The system is sprung with the latest KW Suspension adjustable stainless steel competition shocks. Under the hood rests a polished Magnuson intercooled supercharger, Billy Boat exhaust system, MSD multi-spark coils and ignition wires and XRP braided stainless steel hoses feed the system throughout. The custom all-leather interior scheme, all carpet was removed and replaced with Dynamat and finished in black leather. Simulated baby Osterich skin in black was used in sections to accent the black leather. A touch of purple in the seats and an embossed flame pattern in the rear deck area set off the clean interior. The Vette was on display at events throughout 2005, and was a feature car at the SEMA show 2005 in Las Vegas. This car has also won 1st place in the Grand National Roadster Show in 2006 and Best in Show award in the Crusin For A Cure Show 2005. The car was featured in several magazines such as a feature story in Chevy Rumble-May 2005, cover feature story in Vette Magazine-August 2005 and Custom Corvette Calander 2006 feature car.
